You don’t have to love performing on stage to be a member of Barton Players. We rehearse once a week in the Village Hall in Barton-le-Clay every Wednesday evening from 8pm – 10pm. We produce 2 or 3 shows a year and operate a Summer School for children aged 5 – 18 years every summer

Barton Young Players Summer School attendees learn lines & songs, create scenery and generally have lots of fun. This project is open to young people of Barton and beyond who get 6 days tuition from 10am to 4pm, a T-shirt and 2 free tickets for the end result…..a full length musical show!

We have a wide range of ages in our group ranging from 16 years to those who are retired – there is no upper age limit to join our group. We usually aim to do one show a year that welcomes our younger members of the group aged 8 to 18 years to join in with the adult productions.

We have excellent onstage, backstage and front of house facilities with committed and friendly members who would be delighted to welcome you in any capacity. If you’ve never been involved in an amateur dramatic society – no problem! There are plenty of people to show you the ropes – all you need is enthusiasm.
