Tickets are now available for Barton Players next production of “A Bunch of Amateurs” by Ian Hislop and Nick Newman, which will be performed 25th – 27th April 2019. Synopsis“Keen to boost his flagging career, fading Hollywood action hero Jefferson Steele arrives in England to play King Lear in Stratford – only to find that this is not the birthplace of the Bard, but a sleepy Suffolk village. And instead of Kenneth Branagh and Dame Judi Dench, the cast are a bunch of amateurs trying to save their theatre from developers. After a fantastic evening of Auditions for our April 2019 production of “A Bunch of Amateurs” The Audition Panel are pleased to announce the cast. The standard was so high and we honestly could have cast this show 2 times over! NODA Award Nominations

We were delighted to hear the news that we have received two nominations at this year’s NODA (National Operatic and Dramatic Association) Awards. Oliver! received a nomination for the Best Musical, and we also received a nomination for the Best Technical Award for “Imaginative Lighting” in Oliver! The ceremony takes place on 12th May.
