A Gift

We were obviously very disappointed to have to cancel/postpone our Production of “The Elephant Man”, but in the circumstances, we obviously want to keep everyone safe. We thought would give you all a gift to say thank you for your support over the years….Towards the end of last year we performed the premiere of “A Carol’s Christmas”, which was a light hearted festive comedy written by Keith Badham….It was recently nominated for the best drama award in the National Operatic and Dramatic Association’s award ceremony. COMMITTEE ANNOUNCEMENT “On the advice of HM Government, we have taken the difficult decision today to suspend our production of the Elephant Man. Our priority is the health and wellbeing of our cast/crew and our audiences. We remain committed to the production, a wonderful piece of theatre, and look forward to sharing it with you when the time is right. For those who have purchased tickets for this period, you will be contacted in due course by your point of sale to discuss options”

We have received our NODA review for Corpse!…. NODA review of Corpse by Barton Players on 12th July 2019 Review by Richard Fitt On a hot steamy night a full house packed into Barton-le-Clay village hall to see the latest offering by Barton Players, Corpse by Gerald Moon. I have to say I have not heard of this play before and it’s always a great treat to see something a little different and out of the ordinary. Our NODA review is in for “A Bunch of Amateurs” – “A Bunch Of Amateurs Barton Players Barton Village Hall Friday 26th April 2019 Contrary to some people’s thinking, first impressions do count, therefore, the exceedingly warm welcome when I collected my tickets an exceedingly shiny and professional looking programme from the front of house staff, my first impressions were very good. In addition to their helpfulness the ‘team’ were easily identified in their smart society T shirts. A term that is often used instead of ‘Amateur Dramatics’ is ‘Community Theatre’ and the atmosphere and my observations in the foyer prior to the show indicated to me that the Barton Players clearly have their place in the local community very well established.
